A primary health centre in a district with few doctors runs on what it can measure quickly. Blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation and temperature are the baseline, and anything beyond that usually means sending a sample away and waiting. For a patient who has travelled to get there, the tests that need a laboratory often do not happen at all.

Perkant Tech was set up in Indore in June 2020 to put more of that measurement into a single portable device. It was founded by Lokant Jain and Saniya Jeswani, who were engineering students in their final year when they started, working through the first year of the pandemic.

Its product is called Abhay Parimiti. The company describes it as an AI-integrated medical device that produces an automated health assessment in under 60 seconds, designed to be used by a health worker or by an individual rather than requiring a clinician.

What the device does, and what the company says it does

It is listed at Rs 20,000, with a seven-inch screen, and the company manufactures from facilities it lists in Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

The company's own description of the platform is considerably broader. It says the system analyses more than 700 body signals and covers cardiac and respiratory health. It adds that its range includes instant indicators for pre-diabetes, haemoglobin, bilirubin and anaemia. It has described the system as a digital doctor for India and as the world's first multi-disease prognosis system range.

Non-invasive measurement of blood chemistry, glucose and haemoglobin in particular, is an area where many devices have been announced and few have been shown to work reliably.

Perkant Tech holds a granted Indian patent and has filed a patent in the United States, but it has not been approved by the US Patent Office. Both cover an apparatus for acquiring psychological and physiological distress data from the body. None of the platform's wider claims, including instant indicators for pre-diabetes, haemoglobin, bilirubin and anaemia, have appeared in a peer-reviewed study, and no independent clinical validation was found.

Nor does any public source show that the device has clearance from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, India's medical device regulator. Anyone considering it for clinical use would need to confirm its regulatory status with the company directly

Rs 6.6 crore, mostly from institutions

The company raised Rs 6.6 crore in a seed round announced in April 2025. YourNest Venture Capital led with Rs 5 crore. The Atal New India Challenge, run under NITI Aayog's Atal Innovation Mission, put in Rs 1 crore, with Rs 35 lakh from Villgro Foundation and Rs 25 lakh from SanchiConnect through YourNest's Velocity programme.

The stated use of the money was research and development, technology upgrades and preparing for commercial launch after what the company described as successful pilots. It has said its work is aligned with the National Digital Health Mission, the government's push to standardise digital health records across India, a compatibility claim, not a certification or endorsement.

The company joined the Qualcomm Women Entrepreneurs India Network cohort in 2023, and showed the device at the inauguration of Nokia's 6G laboratory, where it was the only startup participating. Corporate records list six employees as of mid-2024.

Nothing further has been announced since April 2025. The commercial launch the round was raised to fund has not been reported, and no customer, deployment figure or revenue number is public.
